Engagement
We do not follow a rigid pattern for an
engagement with a client; in fact, we develop an
engagement plan for the client at the outset and we agree
on it. However, so that you can understand what we
do, this is a typical sequence of events for an
engagement. Each Engagement Plan is developed based
on this general sequence of events:
- With the
Client, we review the business goals for the Web site,
and with those goals in mind we review either design
plans for the site or the site itself, if it is
already in operation. We also provide tailored written
comments on how to make the site effective at
converting visitors into customers, and we work with
the Client's Webmaster to implement changes that the
Client approves. The deliverable is:
Site
recommendations for Client’s site
- We provide
guidelines for site development for the Client’s
Webmaster, so that the design of the site will not
produce barriers to good search engine position.
The deliverable is:
Site
design guidelines
- We identify
important key phrases for the site, based on the
business goals for the site and analysis of a database
of over 60 million actual search engine queries, and
provide those key phrases to the Client along with
estimates of how many searches take place across the
Internet per day involving each term. We then
work with the Client to develop the final list of key
phrases that we will target for the promotion.
Deliverable:
List
of key phrases and estimates of number of searches per day
across the Internet for each
- We work with
the client to develop new narrative text and new meta
tags that will align the site and meta tags with the
selected phrases, incorporating patterns of use that
are employed by other sites that rank high on those
particular phrases. Deliverables:
Revised
narrative text and revised meta tags.
- We submit the
site to the search engines, employing the latest in
stealth technology so that the submissions appear to
be made by a person using a browser to carry out the
submission.
- Depending on
the level of service, we will employ depth promotion,
aligning several pages with different phrases, and
submitting them to search engines as separate sites,
using stealth technology.
- We monitor the
site log and send reports of our analysis to the
Client; we use this tool to learn which search engines
and which phrases are most effective, and where we
need to apply continuing effort. Deliverable:
Log
analysis report.
- We monitor
rankings in the most important search engines for the
phrases we have chosen, and provide the Client with
summaries of those rankings. The deliverable is:
Search
engine position report for selected key words and phrases.
- Based on our
continuing analysis, we modify our promotions as we
go, to keep the level of traffic and rankings of the
site high.
- Depending on
the level of service, we will manage a pay for
position campaign for the Client in addition to the
free listing campaign. The deliverable is:
Pay
for position performance report.
- Depending on
the service option, we will solicit reciprocal links
for the site, and submit links to the Client's
Webmaster for incorporation onto the site.
